Ignore Rules works like .gitignore

Set rules for files or folders you don't want to sync.
... node_modules, anyone?
Compatible with Linux, Windows, and Mac with 15 day free trial

How to use the Ignore Rules

Exclude specific files and folders when syncing your Google Drive or OneDrive.

Go to the Ignore Rules tab

Install Insync and go to Account Settings to access the Ignore Rules tab.

Type in the rules you want

If you're familiar with the .gitignore syntax, you'll feel right at home.

In this case, we want to ignore the folder "node_modules" from syncing so we'll type that rule in.

If you're new to the .gitignore syntax, read our Help Center Article for rules you can start out with.

Sync your files

Your Ignore Rules will now be applied everytime you sync your Google Drive and OneDrive files!

Note: a previously synced file that matches a rule will be unsynced.
