The Docs Conversion Process

There's a manual way of converting Google Docs to Microsoft Word but if you're looking to automate your workflow, then Insync will definitely help. All you need to do is apply some settings in the Insync app and it will automatically convert your Google Docs to Microsoft Word!

How to automatically convert Google Docs to Word

Access the Docs Conversion tab

Go to Account Settings and access the Docs Conversion tab.

Select your preferred file format

Since we're looking to automatically convert Google Docs to Microsoft word, select Convert to Microsoft Office. Then, click Apply!

Note: Insync can also convert your Google Docs to OpenDocument!

Sync your Google Docs

Now that the proper settings have been applied, your Google Doc will be automatically converted to Word when you sync it! You can easily sync your Google Docs via the Cloud Shortcuts or Cloud Selective Sync.

Once your Google Docs are finished syncing, you'll find them in your Base Folder as Word files!
